EMSELLA® by BTL

How EMSELLA® by BTL Works

The BTL EMSELLA™ Chair offers a groundbreaking noninvasive treatment using High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy. This technology induces powerful contractions of the pelvic floor muscles, equating to 11,000 Kegels in just 28 minutes! These contractions enhance the strength of the pelvic floor muscles and tighten the vaginal wall. During this treatment for incontinence, the supportive tissues of the pelvic organs are effectively rebuilt, leading to reduced urge and stress incontinence, better urine retention, and improved sexual satisfaction.

Numerous clinical studies validate the effectiveness of the EMSELLA™ Chair in treating urinary incontinence, with patient satisfaction for improved quality of life reported at 95%. In one study, half of the participants experienced complete resolution of their incontinence.

Another clinical study focused on female sexual function improvement post-treatment with the EMSELLA™ Chair revealed that 100% of participants reported enhanced sexual function after three months, earning it the nickname ‘orgasm throne’ among users.

EMSELLA™ is the first FDA-cleared and Health Canada-approved non-surgical treatment for incontinence designed to improve urinary retention. During a session, patients remain fully clothed and sit on an ergonomic chair, affectionately dubbed the “Kegel throne.” The chair uses HIFEM energy to safely penetrate the pelvic floor, stimulating neurons that trigger muscle contractions. Each 30-minute session stimulates 11,000 supramaximal contractions, providing the benefits of an intense pelvic workout.
